NTK's Tamil School conducts weekly Tamil classes during the school term days in collaboration with Derby Tamil Academy. Each session is about an hour and fifteen minutes and there are 32 sessions per academic year. This initiative helps preserve the Tamil language and facilitates cultural integration among Tamil-speaking individuals and families.

The success of this initiative is undoubtedly attributed to the dedicated and amicable team of volunteers who selflessly contributed their time, skills, and passion. Their enthusiasm and commitment are the driving forces for the education of the children.

Grading and Skillset

The grading and skillset table outlines the language skill the student will acquire in a given grade. The document also provides the minimum age required for each grade. ITA places students in a grade based on their age and Tamil skill. To assess the student's Tamil skill, ITA gives an age appropriate evaluation test. To take an evaluation test for a grade the student is expected to have mastered the language skill for the previous grade.
